COVID-19 Update

Like all companies we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak and the impact it is having on our customers.

As of Monday 24th March the UK has gone into full lockdown, which we know will be a difficult time for everyone. We have been following protocol from the government and councils carefully, and we have postponed all our Food Festivals, Markets and Events on hold for the foreseeable future. But according to the lockdown guidelines, we are happy to announce that the government is encouraging all online shops to remain OPEN.

This is a blessing for us, as this will now be our only form of cashflow to get this small family business through this very difficult time. We are always so grateful for all your support.

We are incredibly happy that we can still provide you with with our products and gift sets, as and when you need them - especially as we have all been told to stay in unless absolutely necessary. We hope by keeping our online shop open, we can help you to keep yourselves under the stringent new rules of lockdown. While also providing some delicious treats to keep our spirits up!

Latest Statement from Royal Mail says, "Throughout this crisis, we will continue to deliver the most comprehensive service we can to all our customers. However, as cases of coronavirus increase across the UK we, along with other organisations, are experiencing growing levels of employee absence due to illness and self-isolation.

Absence rates are currently significantly higher than what we normally expect at this time of year. To manage these severe absence levels – which are growing - we are implementing a range of mitigations. These include changing the time guarantee on Special Delivery and deploying non-operational managers in Delivery. We are working closely with approximately 11,000 Post Offices that remain open to provide another avenue – where appropriate – for you to access essential mail services. Please click here to find out information on Post Office opening times

Despite our best endeavours, it is likely that some areas of the country will experience a reduction in service levels due to coronavirus-related absences at their local mail centre or delivery office."

We ask for your patience for your items to be delivered during this unprecedented time. The Royal Mail is doing the best they can.

Can COVID-19 be transmitted on parcels and mail?
The NHS has released a statement saying: “There is currently no evidence that you can catch coronavirus from parcels and letters”, and that it’s “very unlikely it can be spread through things like packages or food.”

So for now, we are shipping out orders every day. Remember we are offering FREE Shipping on all orders over £15. We have also released some NEW Gift Box Bundles, as well as re-releasing our Candied Jalapeno Cranberry - which we hope will cheer us all up during this difficult time.
